We are seeking a highly motivated Bachelor/Master's student to support our Energy & Environmental Operations team by completing an internship project/thesis in Electrical Power Consumption Data Exchange with public grid supplier for our location in Schkopau, Germany.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process automation engineering, electrical engineering, information engineering or related fields. You should have a solid understanding of processes and sound knowledge in data collection technology, including data mining and evaluation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and evaluating the current market communication setup at Dow Schkopau site
  • Performing a market and technology study on required state-of-the-art communication technologies with 50hertz
  • Developing scalable optimal load forecasting solutions and improvement options based on different requirements and cases
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in process automation engineering, electrical engineering, information engineering or related courses of study
  • A good working knowledge of English and German
  • Solid understanding of processes
  • Sound knowledge in data collection technology, including data mining and evaluation
