Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Corporate Operational Excellence team at the ZEISS Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation of operational excellence projects globally, leveraging Industry 4.0 initiatives to optimize production processes and increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and increase efficiency through Industry 4.0 measures, such as automation and digitalization.
  • Consult with internal customers to develop holistic solutions based on best practice approaches, with a focus on standardization.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, leveraging the latest technological advancements.
  • Lead and support the implementation of strategic continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on Industry 4.0.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Operational Excellence team, Operations, IT departments, and external partners to develop and maintain best practice solutions and procedures.
  • Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation for high-impact projects.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship, and develop a high-performance culture.
  • Coach, educate, and develop continuous improvement skills and competencies globally.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-7 years of experience in a production optimization or operational excellence role, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of how to combine production optimization principles with the latest technological advancements from Industry 4.0, automation, and digitalization.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous operational excellence and supporting cultural transformation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel (internationally).
  • Fluent proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
