Corporate Operational Excellence Project Manager

Your Role

We are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Manager to oversee our Corporate Operational Excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate will take charge of leading and facilitating the execution of operational excellence projects in collaboration with various business partners across the ZEISS group to achieve targeted outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at optimizing operational workflows and enhancing efficiency.
  • Advise internal stakeholders by crafting comprehensive solutions grounded in industry best practices.
  • Spot opportunities for enhancement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to realize process advancements.
  • Steer and assist in the rollout of continuous improvement programs, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Total Quality Management.
  • Work alongside the Corporate Operational Excellence team to create and uphold best practice methodologies and protocols.
  • Oversee budget management and resource distribution for impactful projects.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Educate and develop continuous improvement capabilities and skills throughout the organization.

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-7 years of experience in production optimization or operational excellence, preferably in a consultancy setting.
  • Deep understanding of production optimization methodologies (such as Lean Management, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management).
  • Strong project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous operational improvements and facilitating cultural change.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and proficiency in analyzing complex data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing or supply chain sectors.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
