Wind Energy Grid Code Expert

We are looking for a highly motivated Wind Energy Grid Code Expert to join our department Windfarm Control Operations within Global Project Management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of Grid Code Test Engineers, providing functional and disciplinary leadership.
  • Evaluate and document Grid Code compliance tests, analyze test data, and support Grid connection within sales and project phases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Nordex products to assess Grid Code compliance.
  • Optimize processes within Grid Code compliance and review internal product specifications for compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients' experts to elaborate project-specific testing and solutions.
  • Gain experience in windfarm controller projects.

About You

  • Hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent technical education.
  • Have first-hand experience in leading engineering teams, Gride Code Testing with Wind Farm projects, and test cases in Grid Code Testing Procedures.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details.
  • Possess experience with data analysis, tools, and automation.
  • Show intercultural understanding and thrive on working collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Speak and write fluently in English; Spanish and/or German is a plus.
  • Exhibit very good communication skills, strong planning- and organizational skills, be proactive, assertive, and a team player.
  • Be willing to go on business trips (5-10%).

Your Benefits

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
