At Volocopter GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Partner to join our controlling and FP&A department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with C-Level executives and department heads to drive financial decision-making and support the growth of our innovative company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial processes and tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Analyze business trends and drivers to inform short- and long-term financial planning
- Collaborate with business owners to provide insights and guidance on financial performance and strategy
- Implement automated reports and analytics to facilitate data-driven decision-making
- Execute budget and forecasting processes for all functions, including regular performance reviews
- Ensure global system and process maturity, while continuously improving technical and procedural standards
- Maintain project structure data in financial systems and project accounting for personnel and other expenses
- Participate in capacity planning and work cross-functionally with other finance business partners to establish total cost of ownership
- Support investment and optimization decisions, including make-or-buy analysis
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closure
- Strong background in R&D or production controlling, ideally in aviation, automotive, space tech, or biotech industries for 5+ years
- Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a start-up or scale-up, with a matrix framework
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with top and extended leadership teams
- Experience with implementation of modern and digital FP&A departments/services based on state-of-the-art technology
- Minimum IFRS accounting understanding to connect Financial Statements (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Equity) and project accounting
- Degree with a focus on finance, controlling, FP&A, or related fields; MBA, PhD, CMA, or CPA are a plus
- Fluent in English, advanced German is desirable
