Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller and Finance Business Partner to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our controlling and FP&A department, you will work closely with C-Levels and department heads to create, maintain, and drive processes and tools that support our decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement automated, scalable, and analytical reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Execute the budget and forecasting process for all functions, including regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure global system and process maturity, while continuously working on standardization and improvements, technical and procedural.
  • Maintain our project structure data in financial systems and project accounting for personnel and other expenses.
  • Participate in capacity planning and work cross-functionally with other finance business partners to establish total cost of ownership.
  • Support investment and optimization decisions, such as make or buy.
  • Contribute to our monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closure.

Requirements

  • Strong background in R&D or production controlling, ideally in aviation, automotive, space tech, or biotech industries for 5+ years.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a start-up or scale-up, desirable; ideally experience with controlling in a matrix framework.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with top and extended leadership teams.
  • Experience with implementation of modern and digital FP&A departments/services based on state-of-the-art technology.
  • Minimum IFRS accounting understanding to connect the Financial Statements (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Equity) and project accounting.
  • Degree with a focus on finance, controlling, FP&A, or related fields; MBA, PhD, CMA, or CPA are a plus.
  • Fluent in English, advanced German is desirable.
