About the Role
We are seeking a Senior EH&S Delivery Leader to be located in Wiesbaden, Germany. As a leader, you will be responsible for fostering a work environment with a high level of integrity and a strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation, and sustainability, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the EH&S and Quality team.
- You will coordinate and monitor the performance of tasks by the occupational safety specialists.
- You will develop uniform standards for occupational health and safety for the company.
- You will know how to inspire and motivate employees, how to set priorities for the team, and to ensure completion.
- You will be responsible for integrating the issues and awareness of safety and health into management and process control.
- You will organize and lead the occupational safety committee of the Wiesbaden site.
- You will provide support in the optimization of EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures.
- You will participate in root cause investigations and, if necessary, manage them.
- You will work with the EH&S Expertise Centers in the practical implementation of Dow Standards in accordance with local regulations and laws.
- You will cooperate with DOW Business Services (commercial interface to joint ventures, sold, and independent plants at the locations) in the field of occupational health and safety.
Qualifications
- You have a university degree in a chemical-technical field (e.g., chemical engineering) or other chemical specialization.
- You have several years of practical and active EH&S experience in production, TICA, or maintenance.
- You have experience as a safety specialist or are willing to qualify as a SiFa.
- You have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to convince and inspire.
- You know the practical application and implementation of German/EU legislation.
- You have the ability to assert yourself, you are able to mediate, and maintain a constructive relationship with internal and external customers (plants, maintenance, contractors).
- You have a high degree of initiative and the will to make changes.
- You have very good German and good English language skills.
- You are confident with electronic systems.
