About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management Team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing risks in Uniper's long-term portfolio, with a focus on cross-commodity risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and maximize returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, and develop recommendations for mitigation.
  • Design and implement risk models and methodologies to value long-term deals and extend forward curves beyond liquid transparent tenors.
  • Work with the quantitative team to develop and maintain asset-backed risk models, including calibration of such models.
  • Represent and present Uniper's strategic risks to senior stakeholders and management.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and research skills, with a broad understanding of the industry.
  • Background in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent education.
  • Relevant experience in risk/asset management or trading within an investment bank or energy trading company.
  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Fluent in English, with additional languages a plus.
