Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surface Coater to join our team at Gi Group Deutschland GmbH. As a Surface Coater, you will be responsible for preparing engine components, operating and programming various blasting and coating systems, and applying thermal spray processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing Engine Components: Masking and covering with heat-resistant tape or special devices and covers made of metal or silicone molds.
  • Operating and Programming: Various robot-controlled blasting and coating systems, such as ABB systems.
  • Blasting Components: Performing aluminum oxide blasting on engine parts and aircraft components as preparation for plasma spraying.
  • Applying Thermal Spray Processes: Including atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), flame spraying, arc spraying, and high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spraying.
  • Monitoring Equipment: Continuous monitoring of equipment parameters throughout the process to ensure the quality and consistency of coatings.
Requirements
  • Completed Vocational Training: In a metalworking profession such as automotive mechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, aircraft mechanic, plant mechanic, industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, plumber, locksmith, construction mechanic, tool mechanic, metalworker, etc.
  • Basic Knowledge of English: Required.
  • Knowledge and Experience: In thermal spraying are desirable, and knowledge and experience with robot controls are advantageous.
  • Willingness to Work: In shifts (various shift models with corresponding allowances) and to pursue job-related further education.
