About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Surface Coater to join our team at Gi Group Deutschland GmbH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare engine components for coating by masking and covering with heat-resistant tape or special devices and covers made of metal or silicone molds.
  • Operate and program various robot-controlled blasting and coating systems, such as ABB systems.
  • Blast components using aluminum oxide to prepare them for plasma spraying.
  • Apply thermal spray processes, including atmospheric plasma spraying (APS), flame spraying, arc spraying, and high-velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) spraying.
  • Monitor equipment parameters throughout the process to ensure the quality and consistency of coatings.

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training in a metalworking profession, such as automotive mechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, aircraft mechanic, plant mechanic, industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, plumber, locksmith, construction mechanic, tool mechanic, metalworker, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of English is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in thermal spraying are desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with robot controls are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in shifts (various shift models with corresponding allowances) and to pursue job-related further education.
