Job Description

E SE is seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer Market Intelligence & Sourcing Analytics to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain Excellence division, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic and operational support to our International Category Manager and Management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our Supply Chain cost intelligence methods and tools to optimize materials and services procurement.
  • Ensure the growth of valuable data sources and external partnerships through active market research and collaboration in cost engineering projects.
  • Improve transparency in Demand, Sourcing, and Tendering processes to secure forecasting and volume bundling.
  • Scale the application and usage of smart cost analytics and cost engineering on materials and services.
  • Collaborate closely with our Category teams and Management to deliver valuable data products and ensure the integration of cost analytics and data insights in decision-making processes.
  • Deploy best practices and IT tools to support performance steering and transparency across Categories.
  • Build and strengthen business stakeholder relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for data collaboration.
Requirements
  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • First-hand experience in leading cost engineering initiatives with technical product managers and Category managers.
  • Proven understanding of data management, data validation, and the consolidation of key facts and figures.
  • Experience in managing analytical projects and methods of data analysis and/or cost planning.
  • Proven track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships at the same and higher hierarchical level.
  • Strategic thinker with strong acumen for smart analytics and experience in developing and implementing effective solutions and concepts for out-of-the-box inquiries of data assessment.
  • Ideal candidate has professional experience in applying data analytics solutions, such as MS Power BI or Tableau.
  • Fluent in English and German.
