Job Title: Construction Project Management Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Management Director to lead our construction projects in northern Europe. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance with building regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of project managers on multiple construction projects in northern Europe.
  • Manage and monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with building regulations.
  • Ensure projects are meeting or exceeding company expectations.
  • Oversee project risk registers.
  • Direct external vendors per project, comprising general contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, etc.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining high-value relationships.
  • Participate in training programs and ensure developing team skills.
  • Manage contract administration procedures, including generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation.
  • Liaise with local authorities and relevant state agencies and departments.
  • Coordinate all internal and external project team members, including internal design, procurement, operations, commercial, and IT/network support teams.
  • Lead by example with strategy and structure.
  • Manage to maintain best-in-class policies and procedures.
  • Manage project closure, handover, and lessons learned processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in construction, construction project management, and/or services engineering or with equivalent experience.
  • Proven years of experience in project and construction management, including critical infrastructure for data centers, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout EMEA.
  • Customer focus and excellent soft skills.
  • Self-motivated and flexible and creative, solving day-to-day delivery problems that require director escalation in a fast-paced industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practice.
  • Establishing project roadmaps and its verification.
  • Being decisive and persistent in closing out issues-keeping your promise.
  • Experienced in construction procurement methodologies.
  • MS Office, including MS Project, Excel, and Visio skills, and also applying additional Equinix platforms.
