Your Area of Work:

As part of the CEO Division, the Group ESG Strategy team is responsible for developing and managing Deutsche Börse Group's sustainable strategy. This includes managing the company's own ESG activities, measuring and documenting ESG KPIs, supporting business areas in developing ESG products and markets, and communicating strategy and results internally and externally.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate ESG and sustainability trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enhance the sustainability strategy and climate strategy in line with the ESG framework at the group level and in divisions.
  • Advance and monitor ESG activities at the group level, including climate strategy-related KPIs and reduction measures to achieve Net Zero ambition.
  • Develop, optimize, and coordinate material ESG processes, such as materiality analysis, value chain, and opportunity management.
  • Prepare ESG reporting for executive management decision-making and board presentations.
  • Optimize processes and identify opportunities related to sustainability matters.
  • Coordinate ESG ratings relevant for Deutsche Börse's executive remuneration.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Sustainability Management, or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the sustainability field in strategic management consulting, auditing, or the financial sector.
  • Experience and knowledge of sustainability strategy development and implementation, carbon management (GHG Protocol, SBTi), corporate due diligence (social impact scans, impact measurement), and awareness of developments in the field, such as EU CSRD, TCFD, SASB, and GRI.
  • Ability to recognize trends and network in the ESG environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and structured, solution-driven working methods.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, assertiveness, resilience, strong service, and customer orientation.
  • Excellent presentation development skills and ability to create an easy-to-understand storyline for complex facts and data.
  • Strong communication skills to stakeholders of all levels, including executive board, senior management, team, internal, and external business partners.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a matrix organization within a multicultural, international environment with high levels of initiative, commitment, and motivation.
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking.
