About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Specialist to support our Global Sourcing Expert in their daily work. As part of our team, you will be actively involved in the sourcing and procurement processes, working with international suppliers to serve our different Metro countries subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with suppliers, requesting and analyzing offers, preparing and managing tender processes, comparing samples, and supporting the development of packaging.
- Track supplier delivery performance and review & optimize article master data in our internal system.
- Support the improvement of procurement processes and quality of our service, gaining insights into several departments like sourcing, packaging, design, quality, Own Brand Management, and supply chain.
Requirements
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program for a period of at least one more year and are studying Business administration, Supply Chain Management, marketing, or economics.
- You have good communication and organizational skills.
- You like working in a team.
- You are confident in handling Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel) and Teams.
- You are authentic, honest, curious, result-oriented, thinking big, diving deep, up to taking challenges, and being proactive.
- You are fluent in English, both written and orally.
