Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Munich. As a key member of our real estate sector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost management procedures and processes to support projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cost management procedures and processes to support projects.
  • Prepare preliminary, elemental, and detailed estimates of construction and related costs.
  • Review and evaluate design and outline specifications, exercising cost control in conjunction with the project team.
  • Prepare regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and progress valuations for payment.
  • Prepare proactive estimates for variations.
  • Carry out project cost performance analysis to support reporting.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative risk analysis on project costs.
  • Identify key program cost issues and focus attention on critical elements for delivery.
  • Identify significant areas of risk based on forecast information within cost reports.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or similar.
  • Ideal registration as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience on construction projects.
  • English skills required, with a good command of German (min. B2) and willingness to improve German language skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of cost databases and/or estimating software advantageous.
