Senior Financial Leader for General Ledger

Are you a seasoned finance professional looking for a leadership challenge? We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Leader to oversee our General Ledger team in Berlin. As part of our ONEGLOBE initiative, you'll contribute to providing innovative solutions to our business worldwide.

As the Lead of General Ledger Team, you'll collaborate with the Head of General Accounting, Tax & Treasury to ensure efficient transactional processes. You'll lead one of the three General Ledger teams, focusing on general ledger accounting, intercompany and asset accounting, IFRS and local GAAP financial statements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a diverse team of Associates, Seniors, and Team Coordinators to achieve their potential in a trustful and collaborative environment.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accounting practices across regions.
  • Overseeing the preparation of financial statements according to IFRS and Local GAAP, ensuring operational excellence in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing, asset management, provisions, bookkeeping quality, and performance management.
  • Clear and timely communication on all issues, both internal and external.

Requirements:

  • Academic degree in accounting, finance or similar.
  • Several years of experience in the field of Finance, particularly in an international environment along with proven leadership experience.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including best-in-class tools and systems.
  • Experience in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing, asset management, provisions, bookkeeping quality, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
