About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Department Manager to join our team at Amazon TA. As a key member of our Customer Fulfillment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our logistics department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop a Safety Culture: Foster a culture of safety and well-being within the team, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Analyze and implement changes to improve quality and productivity, ensuring that our operations are running at optimal levels.
  • Manage Projects and Initiatives: Oversee projects aimed at streamlining processes, improving productivity, and enhancing customer service quality.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with colleagues across the organization to standardize shift procedures and ensure seamless operations.
A Day in the Life

As a Logistics Department Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department. Your focus will be on leading and developing a safety culture, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving process improvements. You will be responsible for managing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our operations are running smoothly.

About the Team

Our Customer Fulfillment team is the backbone of Amazon TA, responsible for fulfilling customer orders. We are a dynamic and diverse team, working together to deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a Logistics Department Manager, you will be part of a team that is passionate about innovation, customer obsession, and operational excellence.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a logistics or operations role
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including colleagues and senior leaders
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data and use evidence-based decision-making to drive business outcomes
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen Experience: Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Logistics Experience: Experience working in a logistics or supply chain role
  • MS Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
