Job Description:

This position is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period. The ideal candidate will have a valid LPN license and experience in a corrections or law enforcement environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process and principles of general nursing care.
  • Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support as needed.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff.
  • Records all pertinent information into the medical record.
  • Interfaces with other departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Valid LPN license issued by the board of nursing or a multi-state compact license.
  • Experience in a corrections or law enforcement environment.
