Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Wintershall Dea. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and contracting goods and services for our subsurface operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute activities defined in relevant category strategies, including agreeing final specifications and setting commercial conditions.
  • Manage tender processes, evaluate proposals, and conduct final negotiations up to contract award.
  • Prepare standard contract templates for respective categories with low to medium impact.
  • Establish project procurement strategy, coordinate between project and procurement organization, and support smooth project organization.
  • Manage non-conformities and communicate procurement strategies into the community.
  • Execute purchase-to-pay transactions, ensure contract performance, and adhere to contractual conditions.

Requirements

  • Relevant vocational education or bachelor's degree in relevant field of study (economics, procurement/supply chain, engineering).
  • At least 2 years' experience in operational/strategic buyer position (procurement/supply chain) or alternatively profound sourcing and contract management experience.
  • Proactive team player, solution-oriented, self-motivated, good communicating and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and systematic way of working.
  • Knowledge/understanding of the sub-surface markets & categories incl. rig services, decommissioning services and OCTG is an advantage.
  • Cross-cultural awareness (Collaboration with stakeholders across different BUs).
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English & German (oral and written).
  • High willingness to travel.
  • Committed to company HSE policy and principles, acting responsibly and in accordance with HSE and quality requirements.
