Global Commodity Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Commodity Manager for Software Licenses to lead the procurement and management of software licenses across our global organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement a global procurement strategy for software licenses that align with the business objectives of Siemens Grid Software.
- Negotiate Contract Terms and Conditions: Identify cost savings opportunities and negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions with software vendors.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage and maintain relationships with software vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and licensing terms.
- Optimize License Utilization: Monitor and track software license usage across the organization to optimize license utilization and reduce costs.
- Procurement Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including licensing compliance, cost overruns, and supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, project management, and finance teams, to ensure procurement and licensing activities are aligned with business needs and requirements.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices for software procurement and licensing to drive innovation and improve procurement processes.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in business information systems, business engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Long-term experience in developing and executing procurement strategies, with exceptional conceptual thinking.
- Skills: Proactive mindset, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Language: Fluency in English, additional languages (e.g. German) are a plus.
