A leading company in Germany is seeking an Operational Technology Security Expert for a 1-year extendable contract. Below are the details of the position:

The Role

Position: Operational Technology Security Expert

Working Days: Monday to Friday, local working hours

Duration: 1 year (extendable)

Travel Requirement: As needed from base location to plant sites

Language Requirements: Local language + Basic English knowledge

Budget: $4,000 USD per month

Location:

1. Märkisch-Oderland District (Germany)

2. Brandenburg (Germany)

Sponsorship: Only open to local candidates or those with a work permit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments on-site for cement plants with a local language consultant, covering:
  • Share sample reports
  • Define a general work plan and timeframe for each plant
  • Perform physical walk-throughs to identify risks
  • Generate OT asset inventories
  • Identify existing network segmentation
  • Detect remote connection methods
  • Identify credential assignment and usage mechanisms for OT
  • Control measures for USB device usage in OT
  • Backup and recovery solutions
  • Physical access security measures
  • Passive traffic capture with Clarity or similar tools
  • Vulnerability management and patching
  • Third-party management in OT
  • IT/OT incident management and response
  • OT security controls
  • Develop an action plan to execute governance accordingly

Ideal Profile:

  • You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • You have at least 2 years experience, ideally within a IT Security role.
  • Have expertise on below
  • OT asset inventory
  • Network segmentation report
  • Matrix of identified controls, security measures, and mechanisms in place
  • Report of identified risks and security measures
  • Risk treatment and remediation plan
  • Strategic plan for OT security implementation, operation, and evolution (general and plant-specific)
