About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Kubernetes Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team at IABG. As a key member of our division, you will be responsible for designing and implementing distributed, secure computing infrastructures for various applications such as machine learning, high-performance computing, and sensitive information sharing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing distributed, secure computing infrastructures for various applications
  • Design, development, and integration of software components for large and small systems
  • Analyzing system requirements and planning software solutions that meet customer needs
  • Automation of security and code quality tests, their integration into the development process
  • Conducting research in the areas of operating systems, compilers, and software engineering to improve system performance and security
Requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in one of the areas of operating systems, communication systems, security, or privacy enhancing technologies
  • Technical knowledge of containerization platforms, i.e., Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems, e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, Arch
  • Knowledge of distributed computing networks and foundations in designing secure and high-performance computing systems
  • General understanding of computer architecture and familiarity with hardware/software interfaces
  • Very good programming skills in Python and a strongly typed language such as C/C++, Go or Rust
  • Good German and very good English skills
