Job Responsibilities

As a Global Embedded Systems Architect, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and supporting the overarching framework of our embedded software solutions and systems.

You will lead DevOps teams to guarantee uniform software deployment in accordance with the architectural design, fostering shared interfaces and effective module reuse from electronic controllers to cloud connectivity.

Additionally, with your extensive expertise and business acumen, you will play a pivotal role in steering, directing, and harmonizing the modular design of embedded software across the entire business sector and beyond, collaborating with Architects throughout the Climate Solutions Segment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing software modules and interfaces for embedded platforms (RTOS and Linux based).
  • Defining standard interfaces between various products and systems.
  • Offering guidance in the selection, integration, and modularization of software components.
  • Advising on the reuse of components/interfaces across multiple projects.
  • Coordinating technical solutions developed by international R&D DevOps teams.
  • Collaborating with external partners, consultants, customers, and IT departments.
  • Utilizing structured tools (e.g., UML) to document architectural designs.
  • Formulating testing strategies to ensure software quality.
  • Ensuring product security.

Background & Skills

You possess a robust understanding of system architecture in embedded software, with preferable experience in working alongside international teams and external design collaborators. You have a solid grasp of Linux frameworks and experience with edge systems.

Your analytical skills are strong, and you maintain a positive and open approach to collaboration across borders and cultures in an organization that values mutual support. You thrive in a multicultural setting and adopt a results-oriented mindset.

You are adept at translating business needs into a scalable, resilient, and secure architecture. Furthermore, you can articulate both technical and business concepts in a clear and concise manner. You excel in relationship building, focusing on opportunities rather than challenges, complemented by a proactive attitude.

Additionally, you possess:

  • An educational background in Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in standard architectural description languages such as UML.
  • Experience in designing complex system architectures.
  • Proven expertise with RTOS and Linux-based embedded electronics, including the development and troubleshooting of industrial communication protocols like Modbus, CANbus, HTTPS, MQTT, and BACNet.
  • Familiarity with the Agile SCRUM methodology.
  • Experience in system-level design and implementation of commercial software applications.
  • A customer-centric mindset.
  • A modern leadership style to coordinate multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian (both written and spoken); knowledge of German or Danish is a plus.
