Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver in-depth analysis of the price and fundamental development of global commodity markets, providing insights on future movements of price levels and spreads in European commodity markets.
  • Closely cooperate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions on developing and implementing commercial strategies.
  • Provide advanced market analysis for assets or structured transactions through comprehensive scenario analysis, guiding optimal Group-wide decision making.
  • Lead initiatives to build and mature a large, international energy customer portfolio as part of E.ON's transformation program.
  • Analyze energy market data to identify high-level trading opportunities, including managing E.ON's group portfolio (>200 TWh power & gas) through strategic hedging decisions and open position management in forward markets with a focus on long- and midterm portfolio strategies.
  • Take a leading role in the development of sophisticated trading models and strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on trading performance and market analysis, presenting these to senior stakeholders, including traders and board members.
Your Profile
  • Successfully completed university degree or comparable qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the European energy markets in commercial, analytical, or consulting roles, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior role.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a strategic and analytical way of thinking, demonstrating a high motivation to deliver significant commercial results.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to work within a highly motivated team and independently, taking on significant responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in combination with assertiveness and engagement.
  • Embracing opportunities to learn and develop yourself through working with colleagues across all of E.ON's operating regions.
  • Knowledge in Python is a plus.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, another European language is seen as a plus.
