Electronics Hardware Design

As an Electronics Hardware Engineer at FRANKA EMIKA GmbH, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical hardware for our cutting-edge robotic systems. This includes designing electrical circuits, developing PCB layouts, and testing and evaluating the design.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical hardware for robotic systems
  • Bridge the gap between sensor development, motor control, and robot software architectures
  • Participate in development on all stages, from project planning to implementation
  • Assemble mechatronic prototypes for robotic systems
  • Evaluate the design by measurements and extensive testing in a professional lab
Requirements
  • University degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design, including schematic design and PCB layout
  • Solid experience in the use of ECAD tools, preferably Altium Designer
  • Strong analytical skills and technical know-how in at least 2 of the following areas: power electronics, BLDC drivers, communication interfaces, sensor systems, and analog/digital conversion
  • Skills in soldering and assembly of electronics
  • High personal standard of performance and drive for results
  • Passion for developing innovative solutions as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills in English, German is optional
