Glovis Europe GmbH is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our Warehouse and Distribution team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our customers in all matters related to the operational handling of shipments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and prioritizing order control, processing of incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments.
- Organizing courier trips for shipments, monitoring transport incidents, and evaluating them.
- Processing and planning the loading space registration of different loads and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Acting as the contact person for returns and complaints processing.
- Communicating with assigned contractors regarding transport processing, customs clearance, and distribution.
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with partners and contributing new ideas to improve processes.
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual with a strong background in logistics and customer service. The ideal candidate will have:
- An education as a forwarding agent or a comparable commercial education in logistics.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in Specialist Logistics Services, including Warehousing, Distribution, and Road Freight services.
- Excellent knowledge of contract logistics operations and overland transportation, with additional knowledge of customs, ocean freight, and air freight a plus.
- Experience in dealing with key performance indicators and understanding of warehouse management systems and process flows.
- A strong customer orientation, good communication skills, and a friendly and open personality.
- Technical knowledge of MS Suite and standard logistics software.
