Job Title: Senior Backend Developer

About the Role:

Grafana Labs is seeking a highly motivated Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating critical systems that power our observability platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, reliable, and performant software systems
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improve existing ones
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the growth of the team
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and ensure seamless onboarding for new team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with backend development, preferably with Go
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and observability tools
  • Passion for innovation and staying ahead of the curve
