About the Role:

Fortinet is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality security solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer engagements, including objectives, project scope, and business and technical requirements.
  • Lead technical conversations to clarify and assess all aspects of an engagement.
  • Play a driving role in scoping meetings and help develop statements of work with relevant work breakdown structures based on accurate analysis of customers' requirements.
  • Estimate work efforts and perform project risk analysis based on technical elements, implementing mitigation plans as needed.
  • Participate in design workshops with customers and/or partners, providing input as necessary.
  • Develop and improve project-related documents, including technical architecture diagrams.
  • Perform deployment, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Fortinet security solutions in the customer environment, working closely with the PMO team to ensure successful project completion.
  • Assist customers through the rollout, migration, or go-live phase for deployed security solutions.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions for customers' staff on relevant Fortinet security solutions.
  • Proactively communicate relevant project information to customers and/or Fortinet management as appropriate.
  • Participate in highly visible projects and own the resolution of complex technical escalations related to projects in delivery, interfacing with customers and other teams (TAC, Engineering, etc.).
  • Review peer documents for technical accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Ensure project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Complete and submit internal required administrative tasks (timesheets, activities report, project reports, etc.).
  • Continuously work on developing knowledge and skills to remain proficient with relevant Fortinet technologies, products, and services, using self-study materials or attending trainings as required.
  • Propose and implement changes in relation to Professional Services practices.
  • Mentor new hires during the onboarding phase, providing insight on technical aspects, procedures, and practices.
  • Contribute to Professional Services collateral, such as templates, methodologies, best practices, or lessons learned.
  • Work closely with services and sales organizations.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support, and/or administration.
  • 6+ years of experience with Network Security Products.
  • Vendor experience is a plus.
  • Experience working as a Professional Services consultant or engineer.
  • Expertise in NGFW and at least 4 of the following technologies: Email Security, Advanced Threat Protection, Endpoint Security, Application Security, Web Application Firewall, Network Security Management, SIEM, Network Virtualization, Software Defined Networks (SDN), and/or other cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of 3rd party network or security solutions.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions for SMB, Enterprises, and Telco/MSSP.
  • Scripting or development skills.
  • Very good presentation and technical documentation skills.
  • Good troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem-solving. Ability to develop methodologies to progress on the resolution of technical issues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, other departments, and executive team.
  • Ability to adapt seamlessly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Ability to multitask between several projects and customer engagement, and collaborate with peers on project delivery.
  • Flexible working hours.

  • Ability to bring projects to successful completion through technical sensitivity.
  • Strong commitment and self-driven individual.
  • Extensive travel (up to 60%). Ability to travel at very short notice periods domestically and internationally as needed.
  • NSE 1-7 or equivalent. Other industry certification in relation to security or networking.

Education:

Master Degree in technical or management discipline and/or equivalent extensive work-related experience.

Applicants will need to go through security clearance so need to be either German OR EU nationals.
