Global Account Manager

Cogent Communications is a leading provider of high-speed Internet access and Ethernet transport services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Identify new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the telecom industry
  • Position Cogent's services as a solution for current and future connectivity needs
  • Meet monthly revenue goals by selling into commercial and retail buildings, carrier neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in direct hunting, B2B sales with quota achievement
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through prospecting and research
  • 4-8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with colocation and wholesale experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with revenue deadlines
