About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Master / Mechatronics Master (m/w/d) to join our team at WSA-Nord-Ostsee-Kanal. As a key member of our maintenance and operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute planned maintenance (PU) of the Great and Small Locks in Kiel-Holtenau and the Drainage Sill
  • Manage the PU program, including order management and work preparation
  • Coordinate the deployment of PU personnel
  • Independently assess and document damage found during PU
  • Independently identify and implement measures necessary for safe and reliable lock operation
  • Repair minor defects found during PU using PU personnel
  • Ensure workplace safety
Requirements
  • Completed training as a Mechatronics Master / Mechatronics Master (m/w/d) in the field of Mechatronics or Electronics
  • Unrestricted physical fitness after medical check-ups for driving, steering, and monitoring tasks, as well as work in areas with fall hazards and in unpredictable terrain
Desirable Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical systems, comparable to a lock system
  • Proven ability to lead and train colleagues
  • Strong ability to collaborate constructively
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and enforcement skills
  • Confident appearance and good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility
  • Application knowledge of standard software, including MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance software, including SAP PM
  • Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to drive a company vehicle
