Role Overview

As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our comprehensive network infrastructure that spans both cloud and on-premises environments.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance our hybrid, multi-cloud network infrastructure.
  • Lead projects aimed at ensuring our network systems are robust, well-maintained, and adhere to industry best practices, facilitating a smooth transition to cloud-based services.
  • Exhibit proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, with a focus on designing, configuring, and deploying network solutions.
  • Possess a deep understanding of various networking technologies and vendors, including but not limited to Palo Alto, Aruba, and essential protocols such as LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SDWAN.
  • Develop and implement network services utilizing infrastructure as code to automate cloud network component delivery.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and vendor assessments to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with infrastructure and application security standards.
  • Utilize proactive monitoring and alerting systems to maintain network and cloud service availability.
  • Take operational responsibility for our connectivity network infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive operational documentation for network systems.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
  • Familiarity with network operating systems, including Aruba OS-CX and Cisco IOS.
  • Proficient in the Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix technologies.
  • Knowledge of internet routing protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, and VPNs.
  • Experience with operational technology architectures and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) implementations.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated experience with public cloud providers like Azure and AWS.
  • Strong automation skills with hands-on scripting or programming experience.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, and NAT.
  • Experience with ITIL framework and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Fluent in English with proficient German language skills.
