Job Title: Cloud Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our team at Tintschl AG. As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure for our hybrid, multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for a hybrid, multi-cloud environment
  • Deliver projects to ensure our Network infrastructure is fit for purpose, well maintained, and is an industry best practice standard that supports the transition to cloud services
  • Demonstrate expertise with Microsoft Azure (or AWS) and similar cloud services as well as experience in designing, configuring, provisioning, and deploying solutions specifically at the network layer
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of networking, its various vendors & technologies such as Palo Alto, Aruba, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewalls, SDWAN, Load Balancers, Routing & Switching
  • Develop network services that use infrastructure as code to automate the delivery of cloud network components
  • Performing feasibility studies and IT concepts, market research, and vendor evaluations
  • Experience working with Cybersecurity teams on infrastructure or applications security compliance
  • Help ensure the availability of the company network and cloud network using pro-active monitoring and alerting
  • Operational responsibility for our Connectivity network infrastructure
  • Create all necessary operational documentation for the network infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in technology or computer science, or completed apprenticeship and corresponding professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration is required
  • Knowledge and experience with network operating systems such as Aruba OS-CX and/or Cisco IOS
  • Strong work experience with Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix
  • Knowledge and experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, and/or OSPF, IPSec, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and other network services
  • Experience with OT architectures and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment is required
  • Experience using Jira & Confluence is beneficial
  • Proven experience with public cloud providers (e.g. Azure and AWS) is highly appreciated
  • Strong automation exposure with hands-on scripting/programming experience is highly appreciated
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, NAT is beneficial
  • Strong Experience with ITIL framework and ITSM is highly appreciated
  • Customer focus and service-oriented
  • Ability to work in a highly energetic, dynamic, and fast-moving environment
  • Willing and able to take on new and unfamiliar IT technologies, constant learning
  • Strong motivation to help build and shape the organization, structures, and processes
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, any other languages would be beneficial
Nice-to-Have Certifications:
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), Palo Alto Suite, Aruba
  • Aviatrix
  • Cisco or Security+ certifications
  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • Project Management certification
