About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated student assistant to join our team at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute. As a member of our Signal and Information Processing group, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in signal processing for mobile communications and radar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of signal processing algorithms for multi-antenna systems for integrated sensing and communication (ISAC)
  • Analyze the performance of a beampattern synthesis and waveform design method developed in our group
  • Extend the simulator to support arbitrary antenna array geometries
  • Modify the simulator to take the quantization effects in digital-to-analog converters (DACs) into account

Requirements

  • Full-time student status at a German university with good grades, in the fields of electrical engineering, communications engineering, or similar
  • Interest in radar and communication signal processing
  • Mathematical maturity with strong grasp of linear algebra and statistics
  • Familiarity with antenna array signal processing methods
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Ability to understand and implement algorithms from academic papers
