At Data Science Talent, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Data Governance Expert to join our dynamic team dedicated to transforming healthcare data into actionable insights. As a key member of our team, you will define, drive, and govern the biobanking data domain on a global scale, ensuring data quality, compliance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the integration of population-scale healthcare datasets and biobanks into a comprehensive data governance framework, aligning with FAIR principles.
  • Translate biobank contracts into operational tasks to maintain compliance throughout the data lifecycle, supporting negotiations with external data providers and advising senior management and legal teams.
  • Lead research proposals to data providers, ensuring operational adherence to data governance principles and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Stewards to implement effective change management and communication processes, working within a multicultural team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists/Machine Learning Engineers, Data Stewards, and Project Managers.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Health Business, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Business Transformation/Digitalization within the healthcare sector.
  • Hands-on expertise with healthcare data domains and standards (e.g., OMOP, FHIR, FAIR) and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
  • Strong project and process management skills, including experience in change management and leading project teams.
