Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Belden Inc. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring material availability, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing and Materials Management
- Carry out all activities required in operational purchasing, including inquiries, offer evaluation, contracts, orders, order confirmations, deadline monitoring, and dunning.
- Ensure material availability and coordinate with suppliers.
- Purchasing Negotiations
- Carry out purchasing negotiations in coordination with strategic procurement.
- Invoice Verification and Data Management
- Verify invoices and monitor and maintain purchasing-relevant data in the ERP system (SAP).
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Completed Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration or commercial training, ideally with an additional qualification as a specialist in purchasing.
- First experience in purchasing and materials management.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Strong negotiation skills and cost awareness.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs and first experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Personality and Language
- Team player with strong communication skills and technical understanding.
- Independent, structured, and reliable working style.
- Fluency in English and German (B2).
