About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Meininger Hotels. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to support our hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain competitive quotations and run tenders according to company requirements and policies
- Negotiate with suppliers to establish purchase contracts, ensuring that terms are favorable and purchases offer the Best Value for Money
- Ensure that goods and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, service, and price, and take action to address any issues with non-performing suppliers
- Proactively propose improvements in procurement processes and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities in compliance with policies and procedures, and provide analyses and reports to the Head of Procurement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, expertise in hospitality is a plus
- Experience in hotel operations and/or hotel purchasing activities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hotel Management or equivalent
- Ability to develop purchasing strategies and review procurement contracts/frame agreements
- Business fluency in English and German or French, other language skills are a plus
- Good knowledge of MS office
