We're seeking a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer to join our Media Streaming Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in leading the development and optimization of our streaming technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and optimization of our streaming technologies, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient media streaming solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies.
  • Design and implement monitoring, analytics, and content protection systems to ensure the security and integrity of our streaming platform.
  • Work closely with our infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration with cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS S3, ECS, Lambda, CloudFront) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on media streaming technologies.
  • Proficiency in Go is essential, and experience with additional programming languages such as Scala is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, databases, and automated testing.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
