Role Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Media Streaming Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Media Streaming Team, you will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of our streaming technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in building, deploying, and maintaining a high-performance media streaming platform that handles petabytes of data and gigabytes per second of traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable media streaming architectures using Go and other programming languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless playback experiences for our users.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality code.
- Work closely with our infrastructure team to ensure efficient use of cloud-based platforms and containerization technologies.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on media streaming technologies.
- Proficiency in Go and experience with additional programming languages such as Scala.
- Strong understanding of audio/video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), and transport container technologies.
- Proven experience with microservices architecture, databases, and automated testing.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based platforms and containerization technologies.
- Expertise in monitoring, analytics, and ensuring high availability of distributed systems.
