We are seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to join our team in Berlin, Munich, or Frankfurt.

The estimated salary for this role is around €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Senior Communications Specialist will be responsible for delivering media reports and research reports, analyzing developments in capital markets, the political and regulatory arena, and society at large.

You will develop a strong understanding of our clients' businesses and advise them on how to operate successfully in today's and tomorrow's environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor client and industry news; alert internal teams and clients in real-time to key issues and developments.
  • Analyze media coverage and analyst reports for industry trends and for pitching/engagement opportunities with key journalists and influencers.
  • Conduct peer and market research/benchmarking (qualitative and quantitative) and provide a comprehensive analysis of the key findings.
  • Prepare media lists and reporter backgrounders as well as media briefings for conferences, media roundtables, etc.
  • Keep colleagues informed of project status via meeting notes, action items, and project timelines.
  • Support preparations and logistics for external meetings with media, politicians, investors, etc., and client milestones like earnings and announcements as well as for conferences and other key events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Master's degree, with a high GPA.
  • Basic understanding of financial terminology as well as the influence of media, politics, and society on companies and other organizations.
  • Curiosity and awareness of current and relevant global issues as well as the intersection of financial, political, and social issues.
  • Operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Strategic and creative thinking, underpinned by strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritization/time management.
  • Discretion with confidential client matters.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new, complex topics and issues.
  • Excellent language and writing skills in German (C2) and English (C1).
