Your Role

As a Data Analyst - Business Insights, you will partner with the Sales team to understand their needs for data and analytics, design solutions addressing those needs, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance in the sales area.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to ensure transparency on business performance in the sales area.
  • Ensure data quality by setting up monitoring, performing regular data quality checks, and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide digestible and actionable insights to inform decisions in the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Data Platform team to shape the central Data Platform according to the needs of sales analytics.
  • Provide training and support to the sales organization on data tools and techniques to enhance their data literacy.

Requirements

  • University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with data analytics and at least 1 year of experience with data analytics in a retail company.
  • Understanding of the retail industry, including brick-and-mortar and online/omnichannel channels.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Experience with designing and implementing KPIs and metrics in a retail context.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with Databricks or dbt is a plus.
  • Experience with building dashboards in Power BI or other Business Intelligence and Visualization tools.
  • Experience with Python for data analysis is a plus.
  • Great communication skills, fluent English and German.
  • Highly structured way of thinking and attention to details.
  • Ability to articulate complex data and analytics content to a non-technical audience.
  • Inherent curiosity to understand processes and underlying reasons, seeking to uncover insights and asking probing questions.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing priorities, and ensuring timely delivery on commitments.
