Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to food preparation and service, including setting up serving counters, removing soiled dishes, and cleaning kitchen equipment.

• Set up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed.
• Remove soiled dishes from tables and transport them to the dishwashing unit.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including worktables and refrigerators.
• Prepare dishes for the dishwasher by separating food waste and trash, prerinsing dishes, and loading dishes in dishwasher.
• Stack and store clean dishes.

• No specific experience or education required.
• Applicant must be able to perform duties under guidance after a short period of on-the-job instructions.
• English Language Proficiency Level B1 required.
• German Language Proficiency Level B1 required.

Shift work and weekend work required. Heavy lifting up to 20 lbs. required.
