Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the preparation and serving of meals in our dining facilities.

• Set up serving counters with glasses, silverware, condiments, and other items as instructed.
• Remove soiled dishes from tables and transport them to the dishwashing unit.
• Wipe or wash tables, and clean service equipment such as worktables and refrigerators.
• Prepare fruits and vegetables by cutting, scraping, chopping, dicing, and peeling.
• Clean and sanitize garbage and trashcans, and perform other duties as assigned.

• No specific experience or education required.
• Must be able to perform duties under guidance after a short period of on-the-job instructions.
• English Language Proficiency Level B1 required.
• German Language Proficiency Level B1 required.

This is a temporary position, with a maximum duration of 2 years. The successful candidate will be required to work shift work, including weekends and holidays.
