SAP Developer Advocate

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic working student to join our SAP Developer Advocates Team. As a developer with a passion for SAP custom development and software development in general, you will have the opportunity to help the developer world understand SAP tools, platforms, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with SAP product managers and developers to understand emerging SAP development tools and platforms
  • Develop engaging technical content to help developers understand the essential elements of SAP tools and platforms
  • Engage with SAP's external community through speaking engagements, blogging, live/recorded web sessions, trade shows, and developer meetups
  • Work in a global team with some travel opportunities
Requirements
  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science or related
  • Language skills: Fluent in English
  • Soft skills: Creative Work (writing/video editing). Working in a globally distributed virtual team
  • Skills / Competencies:
    • Development skills preferably with JavaScript or Python
    • Demonstrated competence in general development skills
    • Understanding of modern cloud application development, to include:
    • Web development
    • API development and consumption
    • Security models
    • Control and SCM (git - both command line git and GitHub experience)
    • Containers – understand, leverage, and even develop common usage
