Credit Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As a Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end loan processing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct financial analysis and evaluate the debt service capability of borrowers.
- Prepare and present proposals for credit decisions, including credit applications and creditworthiness assessments.
- Draft and review standard loan agreements and coordinate with external legal advisors for more complex documentation.
- Monitor ongoing loans, ensuring that payments are made and contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Collaborate closely with other group entities, clients, and regulatory bodies, handling correspondence in both German and English.
- Potentially mentor or lead staff within the team, ensuring alignment with established guidelines and best practices.
- Actively support the structuring of new business and provide input on the regulatory reporting process.
- Apprenticeship in banking or a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in loan processing, including financial analysis and credit evaluation.
- Leadership experience or the ability to lead and mentor a team is an advantage.
- Proficiency in loan documentation, with knowledge of certificates of indebtedness and syndicated loans preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including the German Banking Act (KWG), CRD, and CRR, as well as experience with collateral evaluation and loan booking.
- Business-fluent in both German and English; knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
