Market Manager

As a Market Manager - Energy Markets Specialist at E.ON Energy Markets GmbH, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's future in a green and sustainable energy world. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver in-depth analysis of the price and fundamental development of the global commodity markets, providing insights on future movements of price levels and spreads in the European commodity markets.
You will closely cooperate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions on developing and implementing commercial strategies. Your advanced market analysis will guide optimal Group-wide decision making, and you will lead initiatives to build and mature a large, international energy customer portfolio as part of E.ON's transformation program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive market analysis to inform commercial strategies
- Closely cooperating with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions
- Leading initiatives to build and mature a large, international energy customer portfolio
- Managing E.ON's group portfolio through strategic hedging decisions and open position management in forward markets
- Developing sophisticated trading models and strategies
- Preparing detailed reports on trading performance and market analysis
Requirements:
- Successfully completed university degree or comparable qualification
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the European energy markets in commercial, analytical, or consulting role(s)
- Strong commercial mindset with a strategic and analytical way of thinking
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to work within a highly motivated team and independently
- Excellent communication skills in combination with assertiveness and engagement
- Embracing opportunities to learn and develop yourself through working with colleagues across all of E.ON's operating regions
