Research Associate Position in Temporal Communities
The Cluster of Excellence "Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective" at Freie Universität Berlin invites applications for a research associate position. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a new theoretical and methodological take on literature in a global perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an individual research project within the framework of EXC "Temporal Communities"
- Complete the curriculum of the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and obtain a doctoral degree
- Participate in regular working meetings and workshops of one Research Area of the Cluster
- Contribute to the publication of research results on the digital publishing platform "Articulations"
Requirements:
- MA or equivalent degree in literary or cultural studies
- Excellent academic track record
- Very good knowledge of German and English
Desirable:
- Affinity for literary and cultural theory and interest in historical periods
- Documented competence in more than one national literature, preferably also non-European literatures
This position is ideal for candidates with individual projects related to one of the five Research Areas of the Cluster. The research associates will also be members of the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and have access to mentoring and qualification offers.
