Job Title: Principal / Senior Software Engineer - PHY Layer

This leading developer of cutting-edge wireless communications systems is seeking a highly skilled Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer – Physical Layer to join their high-calibre team based at their R+D Centre in Dresden.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technically lead projects and develop and implement cellular modem Layer 1 control software, firmware, and PHY algorithms aimed at 5G NR and emerging technologies.
  • Research next-generation cellular technologies and develop innovative solutions.
  • Develop embedded software and firmware in C and C++ with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience.
  • Have extensive experience of developing embedded software and firmware at PHY layer for 5G NR cellular products.
  • Have a good knowledge of 3GPP specifications and experience of implementing digital communication algorithms on DSP architectures.
  • Successfully lead teams and projects with a proven track record.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in developing embedded software and firmware.
  • Extensive experience of developing embedded software and firmware at PHY layer for 5G NR cellular products.
  • Good knowledge of 3GPP specifications and experience of implementing digital communication algorithms on DSP architectures.
  • Successful track record of technically leading teams and projects.
