Job Summary:
Fuels Support Equipment Specialist is responsible for inspecting and evaluating fuels equipment and vehicles, diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing electrical, emissions, and diesel systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fuels equipment, mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and evaluate fuels equipment and vehicles to identify malfunctions and areas for improvement.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, emissions, and diesel systems to ensure proper operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating and repacking valves, and replacing gaskets and seals.
- Use technical orders, commercial manuals, or automated systems to determine maintenance procedures and research parts.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation and resolve complex maintenance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the highest level of service.
Requirements:
- One year certificate from college or technical school with five (5) years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
- Must possess a journeyman license and have 3 or more years of related experience in the plumbing arena.
- Must maintain a valid state driver license and be qualified to operate government general-purpose vehicle.
Work Environment:
The Fuels Support Equipment Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.

The Fuels Support Equipment Specialist must conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
