Fuels Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:

Fuels Support Equipment Specialist is responsible for efficiently fueling assigned equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and inspect fuels support equipment, including pumps, filters, and fuel bladders.
  • Adjust and repair pumps, control valves, meters, strainers, filters, water separators, and other elements of liquid fuel systems.
  • Perform periodic inspections of fuel bladders and pumping units to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, and other issues.
  • Conduct 90- and 180-day inspections of fuels support equipment as per regulations.
  • Inspect electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operating conditions.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore operating conditions.
  • Maintain and monitor the shelf-life program for fuels support equipment parts.
  • Perform PMIs and function checks on equipment to ensure compliance with AFIs and Technical Orders.
  • Perform inventory of RSPs and UTC FSE kits as required.
  • Prepare assets for shipment to offsite locations.
  • Perform Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs) on assets arriving or being shipped from the site.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to five years of job-related experience.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Experience in installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fuel delivery systems.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Authorization to work in the host country.

Contract Requirements:

  • Completed Fuels Apprentice Course or military service/commercial equivalent.
  • Completed FORCE Course or 10 years' experience.
  • Certification: National Petroleum Management Association Certified Petroleum Journeyman (CPJ) or equivalent.
