Commercial Asset and Portfolio Analysis Department

Job Description

The Commercial Asset and Portfolio Analysis department at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH provides detailed commercial insights, market analysis, and analytical support to RWE's business for all renewable, conventional, and storage technologies across the globe. Our objective is to support the acceleration to Net Zero by steering RWE's investments towards markets, technologies, and monetization concepts with the highest commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing, developing, maintaining, and applying algorithms and optimization models for renewable asset projects using linear/non-linear programming techniques.
  • Support the development of forecasting models for various drivers of energy markets to be implemented as part of the fundamental energy model.
  • Streamline portfolio management processes through the implementation of automation and database pools.
  • Support the design and development of the front-end user interface for developed tools.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or master's program with an excellent academic record in one of: Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics, or closely related disciplines.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python would be extremely welcomed.
  • You are characterized by a structured and independent way of working and bring a high degree of reliability and commitment.
  • You like to quickly familiarize yourself with a variety of new topics and have an elevated level of customer orientation.
  • You enjoy working in a team with an open feedback culture and want to develop yourself personally and professionally.
  • You have fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
